First things first, if you didn’t catch my blog on how to make a basic hair elastic, check that out! It contains the link to purchase inexpensive hair elastic to get you going!
Just to switch things up, I decided to make a few elastics with bows. If you didn’t catch my previous post about a basic hair elastic, check it out!
It’s a little more difficult to explain how to create a bow in your elastic but if you look at my pictures, you may be able to figure it out.
- Tape Measure/Ruler
- For these elastics you will want the elastic to be a little longer to accommodate for the bow. Cut your elastic anywhere from 13-15” long.
- I would recommend beginning to tie the elastic as you would start tying your shoelace, then create two loops and tie those together to create the bow.
Just like the basic hair elastic, these are inexpensive to make and a yard gives you about two bows and one basic hair elastic.
