REVIEW: Synergy

20130610_071212

I was recently at a Holistic and Wellness fair and got to try a sample of this drink. It is called Synergy organic and raw. The consistency is like jello but it is because of the abundance of chia seeds. The flavor was also amazing. The had several flavors but I opted for the cherry flavor.

As you may have noticed in some of my food posts, I use chia in quite a bit of what I eat. To reiterate just how important the use of chia seeds is, the back of the Synergy label explains it well:

“RAW CHIA = RAW ENERGY. Often called “runner’s food”, chia is a nutrient-rich superfood that provides sustained energy for your body. Packed with more than 8 times the omega-3s found in salmon, this small seed has big nutritional value. With more antioxidants than blueberries and more fiber than oatmeal, see for yourself how chia brings new life to our GT’s Kombucha.”

I was told you could find this drink in stores like Whole Foods, PCC, Central Market, etc, but I found the drink in the produce fridge section in Safeway.
